About Dragonfly
Dragonfly is a Catana 411 cruising Catamaran. She was built in 1995. She is 41 feet long and 22 feet wide. Then there is her 3.5 foot draft!
She was designed and built in France. She has done quite a bit of voyaging: her first owner sailed her across the Atlantic from France to St. Martin; her second cruised her through the E. Caribbean to Shelter Island, N.Y.
We have cruised her for over 5200 miles from Marblehead, MA thru the E. Caribbean as far as Grenada, back through the Caribbean, Turks & Caicos, Bahamas and north up the east coast of the U.S.
She has the three recommended characteristics for an offshore cruising catamaran: (1) daggerboards to sail better upwind, (2) high bridge deck clearance to minimize the pounding of the waves below the boat (3) lightweight.
